Salvation
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. John 7:38 (nkjv)
In the current climate of uncertainty, do you have the peace of God that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7)? Perhaps you have not given much thought about God and your relationship to Him until now. Are you seeking answers? Do you have hope? Ultimately, our life on this earth is rather brief, much like a vapor that quickly vanishes (James 4:14). The Bible says there is the hope (surety) of something much greater- eternal life for those who come to God for forgiveness of sin (Titus 1:2, John 3:16).
God sent His Son Jesus Christ to come to this earth as the perfect Lamb of God to be sacrificed for our sin. It is this sin that we all are stained with that separates us from Him (Roman 3:23; 6:23). His perfect sacrifice is the gift of God Himself for you and me. As we remember what He has done for us, it is our prayer that your hope is not resting in anyone other than in Him.
The Gospel is the "Good News", which is: Jesus Christ died, was buried and rose again from the dead, according to the Scriptures. (I Corinthians 15:3) It is this act of love from God that provides the only way to God- through the free gift of eternal life.
Jesus Himself said: "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3 (nkjv)
Jesus also said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6 (nkjv)
The Bible clearly states that we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and that the wages of that sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23, 6:23) The word "sin" literally means to "miss the mark". The Bible teaches that we all sin because we are by nature sinners. (Ephesians 2:3) This is why Jesus came to this earth to die on the cross- for our sin. (2 Corinthians 5:21) Apart from forgiveness through Jesus Christ for our sin, we have no hope, but are already condemned. (John 3:18) Most of the world will not receive that forgiveness offered by Jesus. (Matthew 7:13-14)
For those who do, Jesus forgives completely. (John 3:16-17)
God is patient, loving and forgiving. He does not want you to enter into eternity without Him! (2 Peter 3:9)
Have you received that forgiveness? Have you believed upon Jesus Christ as your Savior? Do you have peace with God? Have you been born again?
